Why do this?

posted 7 months ago

After nearly 10 years working for a corporate conglomerate, a venture capitalist decided to pay way too much for said conglomerate, world markets crashed and I was layed off.

Life can suck.

Like many, I spent what little savings and retirement money I had so as not to lose hearth and home and hit the pavement. Over two years later I have a new job, but I still struggle.

I read the informative uplifting articles on how to save money. I sign on to coupon sites. I look for the cheapest gas and consolidate my errands. I now know how I can save $5000 a year by not going to Starbucks, I can take a Segue tour at a 53% discount and I can tell you where every gas station is in a 50 mile radius. But I still struggle.

I look for others to commiserate with and find a lot of ranting and a lot of whining. What I need is a little satire and a lot of laughter. So that is why I am writing this. I don’t know who may read this, let alone like and understand this, this is my way of cheap (free) therapy.
